Comparison

beehiiv vs MailerLite pricing

Both bill on list size. beehiiv never meters sends. MailerLite Comfort does. MailerLite Comfort undercuts beehiiv Scale at the small paid stops. Until 2,500 subscribers, beehiiv Launch is free and MailerLite is not, which is the part a paid table alone cannot carry.

Snapshot 3, beehiiv checked 14 September 2026, MailerLite checked 4 October 2026. Monthly billing shown first, tax excluded.

At 10,000 contacts Max is $219 against Power at $129. At 25,000 contacts Max is $289 against Power at $239. Both sides keep unlimited or fair use sends at this step, so the gap is mostly product rather than send volume.

The same list produces two different contact counts

MailerLite. The subscriber limit counts unique subscribers with an active status. MailerLite states on both its pricing page and its billing help page that unsubscribed and bounced contacts do not count. Unconfirmed subscribers are not active either, which is where the unconfirmed answer comes from rather than a separate statement.

beehiiv. beehiiv defines an active subscriber as one who has not unsubscribed and has not been marked inactive, and the tier follows the active count. Paused, pending and inactive subscriptions are all outside it.

Put one list through both rules and the gap stops being theoretical. A list of active subscribers carrying a large unsubscribed pile can sit inside beehiiv Launch on one count and climb a paid MailerLite tier on the other. The rule is recorded for all six vendors.
