MailerLite pricing at fixed list sizes

MailerLite bills on active subscribers using a slider rather than a table, and it repriced and renamed both paid plans in June 2026. Snapshot 3 reread Comfort and Power off the public slider, so the eight breakpoints on this page are verified stops rather than tracker estimates.

Snapshot 3, prices checked 4 October 2026, billing rules checked 4 October 2026. Vendor pricing page.

Where the ladder starts and how firm it is

Comfort at 500
$12
$10.80 a month paid yearly, and the cheapest paid entry of the contact billed vendors here
Power at 500
$25
same subscriber count, unlimited sends under a fair use policy
Comfort at 5,000
$49
published slider stop, previously held as an estimate near 39 dollars

Both plans, all eight breakpoints

Top line is month to month billing. The smaller figure under it is the per month cost of paying for a year up front, which MailerLite sells as a flat 10 percent saving.

Prices are compiled from public vendor pages and can lag behind a change. Cells marked Der are calculated from published rules and cells marked Est are rough figures. Neither is an invoice or a quote, so confirm with the vendor before you spend.

Comfort and Power were stepped through the public pricing slider on 4 October 2026. At 5,000 subscribers Comfort prints $49 and Power prints $69. The same pass covers the rest of the eight breakpoints on this page.

The annual figure is the per month price the slider prints with Billed yearly selected. It was exactly 90 percent of the monthly price at every stop, so it matches the published 10 percent saving. Annual vs monthly pricing across platforms shows how that 10 percent compares and when it pays off.

MailerLite Comfort and Power by list size, read off the MailerLite pricing slider in both billing modes on 4 October 2026. "Billed at" is the slider stop the list pays for. Verified rows are sizes the slider printed exactly. The derived row is a list between two stops, priced at the higher stop, because the slider has no stop at 75,000. Yearly is the per month price the slider prints with Billed yearly selected, 90 percent of the monthly price, and the year total beneath it is 12 times that figure. Comfort sends 10 times the top of the subscriber tier each month and Power is unlimited under fair use. The free plan stops at 250 subscribers, below every size here.

How MailerLite decides what to charge

MailerLite bills on active subscribers using a slider with roughly 29 stops between 500 and 200,000. Comfort allows 10 times the ceiling of the subscriber tier in monthly sends. Power removes the send cap under a fair use policy. Only subscribers with an active status count, so unsubscribed and bounced addresses are not billed. The count is cumulative inside a billing cycle: anyone who was active at any point in the cycle counts until the billing anniversary, even after being deleted, so cleaning a list the day before renewal saves nothing that month.

Comfort includes 10 times the subscriber tier in monthly sends, so a list of 10,000 carries 100,000 emails a month at $89. Power removes the send cap under a fair use policy and costs $129 for the same list, so the gap between the two plans is what unmetered sending is priced at rather than what extra capacity costs.

MailerLite prices with a slider of roughly 29 stops between 500 and 200,000 subscribers, so a list that lands between stops is billed at the stop above it. None of the eight breakpoints on this site is guaranteed to be one of those stops, which is a second reason the middle of the ladder is soft.

Paying monthly or yearly

MailerLite's yearly price is 90 percent of the monthly price on Comfort and Power.

  • MailerLite's yearly price is exactly 90 percent of the monthly price at every one of the 29 slider stops, on Comfort and on Power. With Billed yearly selected the pricing page prints a per month figure: Comfort at 1,000 subscribers is 19 dollars a month, or 17.10 a month paid yearly, which is 205.20 dollars for the year. (the MailerLite pricing page, read 4 October 2026)
  • An annual plan is one payment for twelve months that renews automatically until it is canceled. The help center puts the saving at 10 percent, and the pricing page labels the switch Save 10%. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • Only one discount applies at a time. A nonprofit that provides proof of status gets 30 percent off, and on an annual plan that 30 percent applies in place of the 10 percent annual saving, not on top of it. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • Moving from monthly to annual takes effect as soon as checkout is complete, with the annual cost worked out from the active subscribers and the time left in the monthly cycle. Moving from annual to a cheaper monthly plan, or to a lower annual plan, waits until the yearly term ends. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • If the list or the sending passes the limit during a yearly term, MailerLite charges the pro rated difference to the card on file straight away, and the plan renews on the updated subscriber count. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)

Which subscribers reach the bill

MailerLite is one of the cheaper vendors here to run with a churning list, and the catch is somewhere most people do not look for it.

The subscriber limit counts unique subscribers with an active status. MailerLite states on both its pricing page and its billing help page that unsubscribed and bounced contacts do not count. Unconfirmed subscribers are not active either, which is where the unconfirmed answer comes from rather than a separate statement.

The cumulative count is the trap, not the dead contacts. Anyone who was active at any point during a billing cycle counts for that whole cycle, even after being deleted, so a list cleaned the day before renewal is still billed at the higher tier.

Nothing to do. The status change is enough, but the saving only lands at the next billing anniversary. The same question asked of all six vendors is a page of its own, because the answers are further apart than the prices are.

  • The subscriber limit is the number of unique subscribers with the Active status. Unsubscribed and bounced subscribers do not count. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • The count is cumulative inside a billing cycle. Any address that was Active at any point in the cycle counts until the cycle ends, even if it is deleted later. The tally resets once a month on the billing anniversary, which is set by the date of the first plan purchase. Deleting subscribers on April 1 with a billing date of April 5 still bills them until April 4. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • Someone who belongs to several groups or segments counts once, because the limit is on unique active email addresses. (MailerLite's groups help, read 4 October 2026)
  • Unconfirmed subscribers, who started double opt-in and have not clicked the confirmation link, and subscribers who reported spam are both outside Active, so they are not billed. MailerLite does not state this as a separate billing rule, so the answer is derived from the Active only count and the status definitions. (MailerLite's subscriber status help, read 4 October 2026) Derived
  • MailerLite says deleting subscribers and uploading new ones to get around a plan limit breaks its terms. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)

Sending and passing a tier

Comfort sends 10 times its tier, Power is unlimited, and a paid account moves up a tier on its own.

  • A send is one email to one subscriber, so a campaign to 500 people uses 500 of the monthly allowance. The allowance resets on the account registration date on Free and on the billing date on paid plans. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • Comfort allows 10 times the top of the subscriber tier each month, not 10 times the exact headcount. On the up to 1,000 tier that is 10,000 emails whether the list holds 200 subscribers or 900. Power is unlimited under a fair use policy. (the MailerLite pricing page, read 4 October 2026)
  • Passing a subscriber tier upgrades a paid account automatically and charges the next tier, with a notice in the account first. A monthly plan pays a pro rated amount for the rest of the cycle and the new monthly price from the next cycle. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • Passing the Comfort email limit upgrades the plan, then returns it to the tier that matches the subscriber count at renewal. A Comfort account on the 5,000 tier that sends over 50,000 emails moves to the 8,000 tier and goes back to 5,000 at renewal. The pricing page FAQ describes the same moment as a choice between upgrading to Power for unlimited sending and waiting for the allowance to refresh. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • Past two hundred fifty subscribers on Free, campaigns, automations and adding new subscribers by hand, API or integration stop until the list is back under the limit or the account goes paid. Past twenty five hundred emails in the month, campaigns and automation emails stop until an upgrade or the next monthly reset. Forms and landing pages keep collecting subscribers. (MailerLite's Free plan update FAQ, read 4 October 2026)
  • MailerLite's terms allow overage fees where a paid account has auto upgrade switched off or the upgrade payment fails, and say the rates will be published on the pricing page. The pricing page prints no overage rate, so none is recorded here. (MailerLite's terms of service, read 4 October 2026)
  • Comfort and Power include no SMS. MailerLite's SMS sits on MailerSend, its separate transactional product: the Starter plan is 35 dollars a month on monthly billing with 100 SMS included, extra SMS cost 1.40 dollars per 100, and each phone number is a 2 dollar add on. It covers the United States and Canada and cannot be used for promotional messages. (the MailerSend SMS API page, read 4 October 2026)

The free plan is recorded as a limit, not as a cell

The MailerLite free plan holds 250 active subscribers and 2,500 emails in a rolling 30 day window, down from 500 and 12,000 before 16 June 2026. Both ceilings sit below 500 subscribers, which is the smallest breakpoint here, so the free plan holds no cells in any table on this site.

The cut landed with the paid reprice on the same day. Passing 250 active subscribers locks campaigns and automations on a free account until the list comes back down or the account goes paid. The step out of it is Comfort at the 500 subscriber stop, which is the cheapest paid entry of the contact billed vendors here. Brevo Starter is cheaper at 9 dollars, but that is a send volume band rather than a subscriber tier. That is $12 a month.

What the free plan allows

Two hundred fifty subscribers, twenty five hundred emails and a short list of active items.

  • The free plan covers two hundred fifty active subscribers and twenty five hundred emails every 30 days, with two user seats. On 16 June 2026 it fell from five hundred subscribers and twelve thousand emails and gained a second seat. (MailerLite's Free plan update FAQ, read 4 October 2026)
  • Free allows three active automations of up to five steps, three forms, one landing page, one website of up to five pages and one digital product. Drafts do not count, only active or published items. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • A Free account over a feature limit is restricted. It cannot create, activate or edit automations, forms, websites, landing pages or products, send email or import subscribers until it is back under the limit or upgraded. Nothing is deleted. Being exactly at a limit only blocks activating one more. (MailerLite's Free plan update FAQ, read 4 October 2026)
  • The 16 June update opened more tools to Free: custom campaign and landing page templates, blogs, promotional pop-ups and the custom HTML editor. Multivariate testing, RSS campaigns, auto resend, custom domains, landing page A/B tests and removing the MailerLite logo still need a paid plan. (the MailerLite pricing page, read 4 October 2026)
  • Sending through the API or the MCP server needs a paid plan. On Free that access is limited and does not include sending. (the MailerLite pricing page, read 4 October 2026)
  • Every new account gets fourteen days of premium features. When the trial ends those features switch off, and no subscribers, automations, forms or sites are removed. (the MailerLite pricing page, read 4 October 2026)

Read on the MailerLite pricing page and help center on 4 October 2026. Limits count active or published items, and drafts do not count.
  • Comfort is capped by counts of active items, not by the plan name. Past a limit, existing active items keep running, but creating, activating and editing is blocked until use is reduced or the plan is upgraded. Going over a feature limit does not trigger an automatic upgrade. Drafts never count. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • Free allows two users, and adding a third needs Comfort or Power. A paid account with more than two users that downgrades to Free loses the extra users automatically. A Power account over the Comfort limits has to cut its use before it can downgrade to Comfort. (MailerLite's plan and billing help, read 4 October 2026)
  • User roles are Administrator, Manager, Viewer, Accountant and Custom user. Only an Administrator can export subscribers, reach billing or create and delete users. A Manager has everything else, a Viewer sees reports only and an Accountant sees billing only. (MailerLite's add a user help, read 4 October 2026)
  • A/B testing covers up to five versions of one element of an email, landing page, form or automation step. Multivariate testing covers up to eight versions of a campaign across subject line, content, sender name and send time. Both are unlimited in number. A multivariate test on fewer than 1,000 recipients has to go to all of them. (MailerLite's A/B testing page, read 4 October 2026)
  • The pricing page lists Websites and Landing pages as two rows, each limited to 10 on Comfort, while the help center and the landing pages page say 10 landing pages and websites combined. This site follows the combined wording. (MailerLite's landing pages page, read 4 October 2026)
  • MailerSend, MailerLite's transactional email product, is billed separately and is not part of these prices. Its Starter plan is 35 dollars a month and its Professional plan 110 dollars a month on monthly billing at 50,000 emails. (the MailerSend pricing page, read 4 October 2026)

What the table cannot show

  • The June 2026 reprice renamed Growing Business to Comfort and Advanced to Power, and raised paid tier prices by roughly 10 to 30 percent depending on subscriber count. MailerLite no longer sells the legacy plans. Its help pages no longer print a date for that, and 13 August 2026 is the date as previously read on 26 September 2026.
  • Snapshot 3 reread the Comfort and Power ladder off the public pricing slider. Earlier estimate rows above 500 subscribers were replaced with the published stops.
  • MailerLite prices with a slider rather than a table, so a contact count that sits between stops is billed at the stop above it.
  • The free plan holds 250 active subscribers and 2,500 emails a month after the June 2026 cut, which is below the smallest breakpoint here, so it does not appear as a cell.
  • Snapshot 1 recorded MailerLite as billing unsubscribed and inactive subscribers. That was wrong and it was corrected in snapshot 2. Only active subscribers count, and the catch is the cumulative count inside a billing cycle rather than the status of a dead contact.
  • Transactional email is a separate product, MailerSend, and is not part of these prices. Tax is added on top.

Recorded MailerLite changes

  1. MailerLite Comfort and Power ladder reread off the public slider

    The MailerLite pricing slider now prints Comfort at 12, 19, 33, 49, 89, 179, 319 and 439 dollars a month at the 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000 stops, and Power at 25, 39, 49, 69, 129, 239, 389 and 489. Snapshot 2 held lower estimate figures above 500 subscribers, including Comfort near 39 dollars at 5,000 and an interpolated 470 at 100,000.

Effect on a bill. Most recorded MailerLite bills rise versus snapshot 2. At 5,000 subscribers Comfort moves from 39 to 49 and Power from 50 to 69. At 100,000 subscribers the new published stops sit below the old interpolations, so those two cells fall. Every Comfort and Power cell is now verified off the vendor page.

  2. MailerLite stopped selling Growing Business and Advanced

MailerLite no longer sells Growing Business and Advanced. Its help pages no longer print a date for that. The paid plans update FAQ gave 13 August 2026 as the date the old plan names went away when this site read it on 26 September 2026, and that date was not confirmed on 4 October 2026. Existing paid accounts move to Comfort or Power at their next renewal. Switching to annual billing counts as a manual plan change and moves the account to the new structure and the new prices immediately.

Effect on a bill. Anyone still on a legacy price loses it at renewal. Switching to annual to save 10 percent triggers the move early, which can cost more than the saving.

  3. MailerLite repriced and renamed its paid plans

Growing Business became Comfort and Advanced became Power. Paid tier prices went up by roughly 10 to 30 percent depending on subscriber count. Comfort opens at 12 dollars a month and Power at 25, both at 500 subscribers. The free plan was cut on the same day and has an entry of its own.

Effect on a bill. The entry prices barely moved. The middle of the ladder took most of the increase, which is why the MailerLite rows above 1,000 subscribers are marked as estimates until the slider is read again.

  4. MailerLite cut the free plan to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails

The free plan went from 500 subscribers and 12,000 monthly emails to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails in a rolling 30 day window. It happened on the same day as the paid reprice, which is why it was read as part of that change at first and now has an entry of its own. Passing 250 active subscribers locks campaigns and automations on a free account until the list comes back down or the account goes paid.

Effect on a bill. The email allowance took the bigger hit. A 250 subscriber list can now send 10 campaigns a month instead of 48, so the free plan stopped being a place to run a weekly newsletter to a small list and became a trial. The cheapest paid step is Comfort at 12 dollars a month.
