Change record

MailerLite pricing changes

MailerLite spent years as the cheap default for a small list. In 2026 it repriced the paid ladder, renamed both paid plans, halved the free plan and stopped selling the old plans, in that order. Every recorded move is below, with what it does to a bill.

Snapshot 3, prices checked 4 October 2026, billing rules checked 4 October 2026. 4 recorded moves and 17 corrections.

Oldest first. The last entry is a correction to this dataset rather than a MailerLite move, and it sits in the same list because a wrong number here is part of the record too.

MailerLite repriced and renamed its paid plans

Growing Business became Comfort and Advanced became Power. Paid tier prices went up by roughly 10 to 30 percent depending on subscriber count. Comfort opens at 12 dollars a month and Power at 25, both at 500 subscribers. The free plan was cut on the same day and has an entry of its own.

Effect on a bill. The entry prices barely moved. The middle of the ladder took most of the increase, which is why the MailerLite rows above 1,000 subscribers are marked as estimates until the slider is read again.

MailerLite cut the free plan to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails

The free plan went from 500 subscribers and 12,000 monthly emails to 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails in a rolling 30 day window. It happened on the same day as the paid reprice, which is why it was read as part of that change at first and now has an entry of its own. Passing 250 active subscribers locks campaigns and automations on a free account until the list comes back down or the account goes paid.

Effect on a bill. The email allowance took the bigger hit. A 250 subscriber list can now send 10 campaigns a month instead of 48, so the free plan stopped being a place to run a weekly newsletter to a small list and became a trial. The cheapest paid step is Comfort at 12 dollars a month.

MailerLite stopped selling Growing Business and Advanced

MailerLite no longer sells Growing Business and Advanced. Its help pages no longer print a date for that. The paid plans update FAQ gave 13 August 2026 as the date the old plan names went away when this site read it on 26 September 2026, and that date was not confirmed on 4 October 2026. Existing paid accounts move to Comfort or Power at their next renewal. Switching to annual billing counts as a manual plan change and moves the account to the new structure and the new prices immediately.

Effect on a bill. Anyone still on a legacy price loses it at renewal. Switching to annual to save 10 percent triggers the move early, which can cost more than the saving.

Correction: MailerLite and beehiiv do not bill unsubscribed contacts

Snapshot 1 recorded both vendors as counting unsubscribed or inactive contacts until they were deleted. Their own help pages say the opposite. MailerLite counts unique subscribers with an active status only. beehiiv counts active subscribers, and unsubscribing moves someone to inactive and out of that count. The billing notes and caveats on both vendors were rewritten.

Effect on a bill. Both vendors are cheaper to run with a churning list than snapshot 1 implied. The real catch on MailerLite is the cumulative count inside a billing cycle, and on beehiiv it is that suppressed addresses stay inside the active count.

    The MailerLite pricing slider now prints Comfort at 12, 19, 33, 49, 89, 179, 319 and 439 dollars a month at the 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000 stops, and Power at 25, 39, 49, 69, 129, 239, 389 and 489. Snapshot 2 held lower estimate figures above 500 subscribers, including Comfort near 39 dollars at 5,000 and an interpolated 470 at 100,000.

Effect on a bill. Most recorded MailerLite bills rise versus snapshot 2. At 5,000 subscribers Comfort moves from 39 to 49 and Power from 50 to 69. At 100,000 subscribers the new published stops sit below the old interpolations, so those two cells fall. Every Comfort and Power cell is now verified off the vendor page.

Eighteen per-size cost pages now redirect to their vendor pricing pages

Eighteen cost pages that repeated one row of a vendor ladder now redirect permanently to that row on the vendor pricing page: four for MailerLite (1,000, 2,500, 5,000 and 25,000 subscribers), five for Constant Contact (500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 and 25,000 contacts), four for SendGrid Marketing Campaigns (10,000, 20,000, 50,000 and 100,000 stored contacts), two each for Omnisend (5,000 and 10,000) and Flodesk (2,500 and 5,000), and one for beehiiv (5,000). Every row now has an address on its hub, such as /constant-contact-pricing#10000. The figures that lived only on the old pages moved with them: included sends and cost per 1,000 sends for Constant Contact, and the three email volume readings per stored contact stop for SendGrid Marketing Campaigns. Constant Contact send overage, SMS and yearly price figures were read again on its pricing page on 4 October 2026.

Effect on a bill. No price moved. Old links and bookmarks keep working through the redirects. The pages for MailerLite at 10,000, beehiiv at 10,000 and 25,000, and Constant Contact at 2,500 stay as they were.

MailerLite cost by list size, and the MailerLite page gains billing, counting and plan limits

/mailerlite-pricing now prices Comfort and Power at thirteen list sizes from 500 to 100,000 subscribers, month to month and paid yearly, with the slider stop each list is billed at and the Comfort monthly email allowance, read off the MailerLite pricing slider in both billing modes on 4 October 2026. Sizes the slider prints exactly are verified; the 75,000 row is billed at the 80,000 stop and is derived. The page also adds short sections on paying monthly or yearly, sending and passing a tier, what the free plan allows, and seats, automations, landing pages, forms, testing and branding by plan, and adds dated counting rules to the section on which subscribers reach the bill, each read on the MailerLite pricing page or help center on 4 October 2026.

Effect on a bill. No MailerLite price moved: every Comfort and Power cell matches the 4 October slider read, which also matches the 26 September read at all 29 stops, and the yearly price per month is 90 percent of the monthly price at every stop.

Correction: MailerLite prints the yearly price at every slider stop

This site said MailerLite prints annual prices only at its 500 subscriber entry stop and that every other annual figure was the 10 percent saving applied to the monthly price. The MailerLite pricing slider, read on 4 October 2026 with Billed yearly selected, prints the yearly price per month at every one of its 29 stops on Comfort and on Power, and each is exactly 90 percent of the monthly price.

Effect on a bill. No price moved. The MailerLite annual figures on /annual-vs-monthly-email-pricing and the cost pages are now labeled verified rather than derived.

Why there is no before column on the prices

SideBySend started recording MailerLite after the reprice, so the dataset holds no MailerLite cell from before 16 June 2026. Writing one now would mean reconstructing prices from guides that may already have been out of date when they were published, and a reconstructed number would sit in the same table as read ones without looking any different.

What is recorded instead is the size of the move as MailerLite describes it: paid tiers up by roughly 10 to 30 percent depending on subscriber count. The entry stops are the firm part. Uncertainty is stated rather than smoothed, so an absent column is the honest version of this one.

The ladder as it stands now

Both paid plans at all eight subscriber counts. The badge on each cell says whether the number was read, calculated or estimated.

Prices are compiled from public vendor pages and can lag behind a change. Cells marked Der are calculated from published rules and cells marked Est are rough figures. Neither is an invoice or a quote, so confirm with the vendor before you spend.

Comfort opens at $12 and Power at $25, both at 500 subscribers. Snapshot 3 reread the rest of the ladder off the public slider, including Comfort at $49 for 5,000 subscribers. Every priced cell on this page is now verified or derived.

MailerLite prices with a slider of roughly 29 stops rather than a table, so a subscriber count between stops is billed at the stop above it. The annual column is the yearly per month price the slider prints, which is 90 percent of the monthly price at every stop.

This page keeps the ladder because the history only makes sense next to it. The vendor page carries the same two plans cell by cell, with the note, the source and the check date behind every number.

The catch for anyone still on an old price

MailerLite no longer sells the legacy plans. Its help pages no longer print a date for that. The paid plans update FAQ gave 13 August 2026 when this site read it on 26 September, and that date is not confirmed now. Existing paid accounts move to the new structure at their next renewal. Until then an account can be paying a price that no longer appears anywhere public, which means an invoice and this table can disagree and both be right.

The free plan cut has a page of its own

The free plan went from 500 subscribers and 12,000 monthly emails to 250 and 2,500 on the same day as the reprice. The email allowance took the bigger hit, and that is what changed the purpose of the plan rather than its size. The cut is written up in full here, with the before and after limits and what it costs to carry on sending.

Both ceilings sit below 500 subscribers, which is the smallest breakpoint in this dataset, so the MailerLite free plan holds no cells in any pricing table on this site. It is recorded as a limit instead.
